Water is one of the most fundamental elements of life. It has played a decisive role in humanity's cultural, economic, and ecological development, shaping the birth of past civilizations, today's understanding of sustainable living, and the security of the future.

The international symposium and exhibition titled “Water: Source of Life, Heritage of the Past, Guarantee of the Future” aims to address the multidimensional meaning of water from scientific, artistic, and social perspectives.

In this context, the symposium will open up a discussion on the importance of water across a wide spectrum ranging from natural sciences to social sciences, and from art to environmental policies. The exhibition section aims to make the aesthetic and cultural reflections of water visible through art. The exhibition will also be open to free participation.

The event aims to bring together the accumulated knowledge of the past with today's information and awareness to create a shared consciousness for passing on water to future generations.

Participants will gain knowledge and experience from artists, creative industry representatives, technology experts, academics, and researchers from different disciplines.
Online participation to the exhibition and symposium will be possible.

The event will be hosted by Varna Free University in collaboration with Istanbul Beykent University and will take place between February 25–28, 2026.
