About the Artist
Born in 1993 in Istanbul. He graduated from Kocaeli University, Department of Visual Communication Design. He completed his master's degree in Art and Design at Yıldız Technical University and started his doctorate education at the same university. In 2015, he entered the academy. The artist, who works as a lecturer at Izmir Institute of Technology, continues to take part in different exhibitions with his illustration, graphic design and conceptual art works.
About the Exhibition
This exhibition focuses on the architectural and botanical heritage in Artvin that has been submerged as a result of dam construction. Olive groves and architectural artifacts dating back to the Middle Ages are currently under water. In this context, in the works produced in digital cyanotype format, olive varieties such as Butko, Oturi, Tolgomuri, Tbilisuri, Gorvala, unique to Artvin, and architectural heritage such as Çala, Hamzeti and Kavkasidzeler Castle were brought together.
